Workshop Manager Mechanical Engineer for heavy Equipment Machinery and Vehicles.

Required minimum 15 to 20 years of experience in UAE, for Transporting and Contracting company, in heavy Equipment Machinery and Vehicles (Caterpillar, Komatsu & etc.. )

As a Workshop Manager for heavy equipment machinery and vehicles, your role would involve overseeing the maintenance, repair, and operation of a workshop that deals with such equipment. You would be responsible for managing a team of technicians and ensuring that all work is carried out efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities and skills associated with this role:

Workshop management: Plan, organize, and manage the day-to-day operations of the workshop, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to timelines.

Team supervision: Lead and supervise a team of technicians, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.

Equipment maintenance: Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to ensure the proper functioning and longevity of heavy equipment machinery and vehicles.

Repair and troubleshooting: Coordinate and oversee the diagnosis, repair, and troubleshooting of mechanical issues in equipment and vehicles.

Inventory management: Maintain adequate inventory levels of spare parts, tools, and equipment required for repairs and maintenance.

Safety compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment for the team.

Budget management: Monitor workshop expenses, control costs, and prepare budgets for equipment maintenance and repairs.

Skills:

Mechanical engineering expertise: Possess a strong background in mechanical engineering with a focus on heavy equipment and vehicle systems.

Technical knowledge: Understand the working principles of various heavy equipment machinery and vehicles, including engines, hydraulics, transmissions, and electrical systems.

Leadership skills: Ability to lead and motivate a team, delegate tasks, and provide guidance and feedback.

Problem-solving: Proficient in troubleshooting mechanical issues, identifying root causes, and implementing effective solutions.

Organization and planning: Strong organizational skills to manage workflow, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members, clients, and suppliers.

Safety awareness: Deep understanding of safety protocols and a commitment to ensuring a safe working environment.

Budgeting and cost control: Experience in budget management and controlling costs related to equipment maintenance and repairs.
