A Workshop Maintenance Engineer - III will carry out routine maintenance tasks and defect rectification of aircraft components as per company and associated regulatory procedures.In this role, you will:
Carry out aircraft components maintenance and servicing tasks in compliance with manufacturer and safety procedures. Ensure that assigned aircraft components are maintained as per latest revisions of approved authority Technical Publications such as CMM, Aircraft documentation, Technical Notices, Quality Notices, and Engineering Procedures Manual etc. Ensure that personal approvals/licences are valid and applicable to aircraft components type/scope
Determine if tooling/equipment used is serviceable and appropriate for the task and use specialised tooling where required. Ensure that trouble shooting procedures/tools used for fault rectification are carried out in a cost effective and efficient manner.
Ensure that all activities performed are carried out in accordance with all safety rules and regulations and in adherence to company procedures, highlighting a deficiencies/requirements through the effective use of reporting tools. Ensure all work locations are kept clean and excellent housekeeping conditions are maintained.
Maintain effective communication with Colleagues including Managers and Senior Engineers to ensure a seamless flow of information and to highlight any potential operational issues.
Manage the performance of staff using performance review process and system. Ensure SMART goal setting, interim/annual reviews and development plans are in place for assigned staff members in accordance with company procedures.
Attend training/recurrent modules as required to enhance skills and comply with CAR 145 requirements.
To be considered for this role. you must meet the below requirements:
Degree in Aeronautical subjects (12+3 or equivalent in Mechanical/Avionics/Electronic/Tech Engineering) OR Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Licence OR Engineering Apprenticeship.
7 years of experience in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering related fields.
2+ Years as a certifying staff in the relevant area.
Specific Qualifications/ Experience: Avionics/Structures/Cabin Shops: 2+years of EASA Form1/GCAA AW1 certification experience.
Structure & Composite Shop: experience in Aircraft structure repairs, composite basic & advanced training, Heat treatment, knowledge in Airbus & Boeing SRM and familiar on inspection methods
Machine shop: Knowledge in programing CNC and operating manual machines (lathe, milling and drilling)
Knowledge in Auto CAD, Solid Works, CATIA V5 or similar CAD/CAM packages. Ability to produce own CAD drawings when need arises. Bearing and bushing retention by swaging, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing / surface finish and roughness
Plating Shop: knowledge on electroplating ( Gold plating , anodizing and Cadmium plating ) , Lab analysis and standard safety procedures
Fully conversant with Air Legislation and legal matters that relate to the operation and maintenance of aircraft to international standards.
