Position Summary:

The Wet Utilities Engineer is responsible for design, planning, installation and managing infrastructure systems related to water supply, wastewater, stormwater, and irrigation systems. The roles involve the candidate must be aware with NOC system of Dubai Authorities (RTA, Dubai Municipality), ensuring compliance with local and international standards, optimizing system performance, and collaborating with other engineering disciplines to deliver sustainable and efficient utility solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design and Planning:

• Design water distribution, wastewater collection, stormwater drainage, and irrigation systems.
• Prepare hydraulic models and calculations to ensure efficiency and compliance with standards.
• Prepare technical drawings, schematics, and specifications using CAD and GIS tools.
• Develop detailed designs for water supply, wastewater, stormwater drainage, and irrigation systems.
• Ensure that designs comply with local, national, and international codes and regulations.
• Participate in feasibility studies for new projects to evaluate water resource availability and usage.

2. Project Management:

• Manage wet utility projects from conceptual design to construction and commissioning.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of projects.
• Monitor project budgets, schedules, and resources.

3. Compliance and Standards:

• Ensure designs comply with local regulations, codes, and international standards (e.g., AWWA, ASCE).
• Conduct quality assurance and control reviews of designs and installations.

4. Sustainability and Innovation:

• Develop sustainable and energy-efficient solutions for water and wastewater systems.
• Integrate smart technologies and systems for improved monitoring and performance.

5. Site Supervision and Support:

• Provide technical support during construction phases, including inspections and troubleshooting.
• Resolve site issues related to wet utilities and ensure systems meet design intent.

6. Documentation and Reporting:

• Prepare technical reports, feasibility studies, and project documentation.
• Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree certifications in hydraulic engineering, water resources, specialized training and courses in drainage& storm water networks is advantaged. Background consulting firms is preferred.

Experience:

• 10+ years of experience in wet utilities engineering or a similar field which at least (3) years in UAE.
• Aware and was worked with NOCs system of Dubai Authorities (RTA, Dubai Municipality) is Preferred.
• Experience with water and wastewater systems sustainable and smart utility systems in urban and infrastructure projects.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Bentley Water GEMS, EPANET).
• Knowledge of hydraulic modelling and GIS tools.
• Familiarity with local and international utility standards and regulations and Dubai Municipality Manual.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work on schedule.
