: WebMethods Developer Overview:

A WebMethods Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining integration solutions using Software AG's WebMethods Integration Suite. This role involves working on system integration, API development, and business process automation, ensuring seamless data flow between applications and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Integration Design and Development:
• Develop integration solutions using WebMethods components such as Integration Server, Trading Networks, Universal Messaging, and API Gateway.
• Design and implement Business Process Models (BPM) and workflows.
• Configure adapters to connect to various systems (e.g., JDBC, SAP, JMS).
• API Development and Management:
• Create, manage, and monitor RESTful and SOAP-based APIs using WebMethods API Gateway.
• Ensure APIs adhere to security and compliance standards.
• System Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
• Perform debugging, error handling, and performance optimization of integration solutions.
• Monitor integration solutions to ensure high availability and reliability.
• Provide ongoing support and resolve integration-related issues.
• Collaboration and Documentation:
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, system architects, and QA teams, to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
• Document technical designs, integration flows, and processes.
• Upgrade and Patch Management:
• Ensure the WebMethods environment is up to date with the latest patches and upgrades.
• Test and deploy new WebMethods features and enhancements.
• Compliance and Best Practices:
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and integration architecture principles.
• Address data security, privacy, and compliance requirements.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Technical Skills:
• Strong proficiency in WebMethods components (Integration Server, Trading Networks, Designer, My WebMethods Server, Universal Messaging, API Gateway).
• Experience with XML, XSLT, WSDL, JSON, SOAP, REST, and EDI standards.
• Knowledge of databases (SQL, Oracle, or others) and SQL scripting.
• Familiarity with Java, JavaScript, or other programming languages.
• Understanding of network protocols, authentication methods, and security standards.
• Problem-Solving Skills:
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex integration issues.
• Strong analytical and debugging skills.
• Soft Skills:
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in WebMethods development or a related integration platform.
• Certification in Software AG WebMethods is a plus.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience with cloud integration and hybrid environments.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools.
• Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
