The Water Production & Transmission Senior Engineer in charge of developing, reviewing, and updating regulatory submissions for water production and transmission, as well as analyzing and reporting on water statistics and performance and conducting site visits and audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
In addition, the Water Production & Transmission Senior Engineer is responsible for the development, maintenance, and updating of transmission network regulations, codes of operations, and standards, as well as planning statements, performance reports, and regulations.
Furthermore, the Water Production & Transmission Senior Engineer, is responsible for coordinating and assisting the wider Department in all aspects of water production and transmission networks, including price control, policy development, and so on.
Review and improvement of IWPPs quarterly reports
Review of water transmission 7 years planning statements and water transmission annual performance reports
Conducts IWPP site visits and audits
Liaises with licensees on matters related to non-compliance
Support in the investigation on compliance failures, desalination issue and production related incidents
Maintain, upgrade, and all data and databases related to water production such as the Production Data Submission and Reporting System and provide relevant statistics
Be up to date with the sector water transmission networks operation and performance.
Perform any other duties that may occasionally be required by the DoE.
As part of the Water Regulation Section, oversee the performance and development of the Water Metering, and Transmission and Metering codes, as well as other codes and licenses where necessary
Support the economics team in the Price Control and Technical Assessor Reviews as well as the Capex reviews.
Contribute to HSE issues arising with the Licensee in conjunction with the HSE Officer or Adviser
