This role demands a solid understanding of warehouse management processes, safety standards, and experience in team supervision. You will be responsible for coordinating with different departments to streamline operations and support our logistics team in achieving performance targets and excellent service delivery.Responsibilities
Leadership and Supervision: Lead warehouse staff by example, ensuring adherence to company policies and safety standards while fostering a positive, cooperative work environment.
Operations Oversight: Monitor and manage the daily operations of the warehouse, including inventory control, order processing, and shipping/receiving activities.
Efficiency and Productivity: Implement effective processes to maximize productivity and maintain inventory accuracy. Identify areas for improvement and introduce relevant solutions.
Collaboration: Work closely with logistics, procurement, and retail teams to ensure seamless execution of all supply chain activities.
Training and Development: Conduct regular training sessions for warehouse staff on best practices, safety protocols, and new technologies to ensure ongoing professional development.
Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards for quality assurance by enforcing procedures and conducting regular inspections of inventory and equipment.
Reporting: Prepare and submit regular reports on warehouse operations, performance metrics, and inventory levels to senior management.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Education: Bachelors degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in warehouse management or supervisory roles, preferably within a fast-paced logistics environment.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and MS Office Suite.
Leadership Abilities: Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills required for effective team management.
Communication: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise effectively with team members and department heads.
Attention to Detail: High attention to detail and organisational skills to maintain accuracy in all warehouse operations.
