Job Description

:Ward Clerk is responsible for timely and accurate charging of procedure, store supplies in the hospital information system, scheduling appointments and coordinating communication among healthcare staff.Responsibilities:
  • Attending hospital Phone calls
  • Assist Nurse Manager in compilation of Documentation and other Audits.
  • Assist in Maintaining Log Books
  • Assist the unit in Clinical /Administrative Works.
  • Ensure all patients charged for supplies and procedures in hospital information system for final billing.
  • Assist the Nurse Manager / Nurse In-Charge for office work and coordination
  • Arrange follow -up appointment for patients / Coordinate insurance approval for procedure / Investigations.
  • Coordinate the telephone enquiries and inform the concerned person
  • Ensure all admission, discharge, transfer data and post discharge calls are entered in registered book.
  • Ensures all patients charged for supplies and procedures in hospital information system for final billing.
  • Ensures entry of stock for consumable and non-consumable supplies available in the unit / clinic and maintains the stock level accurately
  • Ensures the unit is clean and tidy
  • Promotes and displays professional verbal and non-verbal communication and maintain all aspects of confidentiality
  • Follow up on discharge calls
  • Managing patient records.
  • Maintain Inventory of Supplies and Assist with other clinical duties as needed.
  • Managing patient records.
Qualifications:Diploma/bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN).
