:2.1 Assist in the delivery of patient care as directed by the registered nurse. Contribute to the general environment of the hospital and the well-being of the patient, families and team members as a member of the nursing team.Responsibilities:Assist with Non-Medical Care and Ward Duties:
Support the nursing team with patient care tasks, including hygiene, mobility, and comfort.
Respond promptly to patient and family requests to ensure safety and satisfaction.
Patient Safety and Comfort:
Conduct hourly patient rounding to ensure their comfort and address any needs.
Attend to call bells and alarms, and report relevant issues to nurses.
Maintain Cleanliness and Equipment Care:
Clean patient care trolleys, biomedical equipment, and ensure all consumables are replenished.
Collaborate with housekeeping to maintain cleanliness in patient rooms, nursing stations, and common areas.
Manage and report on hospital supplies, including linens, sharp containers, and oxygen cylinders.
Support with Administrative and Transport Tasks:
Act as a liaison in outpatient settings, support bed management, and assist with patient transport.
Manage records for borrowed items, linen hampers, and ensure proper sterilization of instruments.
Compliance and Safety:
Follow hospital policies on patient confidentiality, waste management, and infection control.
Participate in training, emergency drills, and use personal protective equipment as required.
Qualifications:
Completion of some high school or an equivalent qualification is required.
Intermediate proficiency in English is preferred.
Ability to speak Arabic is advantageous.
