Job Description

The Role

Ensure that all guest are served as per the company standards. Display highest standards of hospitality and welcome at all times within all food and Beverage areas. Complete knowledge of the menu is a must. Takes orders as serves (where applicable prepares) food and beverages to guests as per the company standards in a Friendly, Timely and Efficient o Adhere to grooming and appearance standards constantly o Greet guests and welcome them o Interact with the guests in a professional manner with the menu o Inform guests about the special items for the day and menu changes if any o Suggest food and Beverages to guest and also try to up sell o Communicate with the guest and assist them with their queries o Take F&B orders from the guest on the order taking pads or on the hand held POS( Point of Sale ) system o Punch the order on the POS machine and make sure to enter the special requirements made by the guest while ordering food. E.g. no garlic, less spicy etc.... o Obtain revenues issuing receipts, accepting the payments and returning the change o Coordinate with the concerned staff to ensure smooth function of orders and guest satisfaction o Serve food & Beverage for the guest as per the course of order o Observe guest and ensure their satisfaction with their food and service o Maintain proper dining experience, delivering items, fulfilling customer needs offering deserts and drinks, clearing courses. Replenish utensils, refilling glasses etc... o Helping other areas of restaurant assisting in completing other chores like o Perform basic cleaning task as needed or directed by the supervisor o Filling in for absent staff as needed o Ash trays to be cleared every 15 mins but before clearance replace with a fresh one o Tissue to be checked well in advance o Promptly respond to guest with any additional request o Coordinate constantly with food runner for courses to be served on time o Print closing report and drop cash with the accounts department or make a proper written hand over to next associate in charge o Performs miscellaneous job-related to duties as assigned.



Requirements

QUALIFICATION :

Hotel & Restaurant Management EXPERIENCE: Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in Stand Alone Restaurants industry Knowledge & Skills Thorough knowledge of each item on the menu and specials to help a guest decide between entree options, explain ingredients and preparation methods.
