Responsibilities: Greet and seat guests in a courteous and professional manner. Present menus and answer questions about menu items, providing recommendations when requested. Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently. Enter orders into the point-of-sale (POS) system and ensure kitchen staff receives them promptly. Serve food and beverages to guests, providing a high level of service. Monitor guest needs, respond to requests, and resolve any issues or complaints. Check the quality and accuracy of food orders before serving them. Coordinate with kitchen staff and bartenders to ensure timely food and drink delivery. Ensure that guests have everything they need throughout their dining experience. Clear and reset tables for the next guests. Process guest payments, handle cash and credit card transactions, and return change accurately. Maintain a clean and organized dining area. Follow hotel policies and procedures for food and beverage service. Comply with health and safety regulations and maintain proper hygiene. Upsell menu items and promote specials and promotions. Collaborate with fellow staff to provide a seamless dining experience.
Qualifications: Previous experience as a waiter/waitress or in a customer service role is preferred but not required. Customer-focused with strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to providing exceptional service. Basic math skills for handling payments and making change. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. High school diploma or equivalent.
