Key Responsibilities:

Greeting and Seating Guests

: Welcome guests as they arrive and escort them to their assigned tables. Provide menus and inform customers about daily specials or promotions.

Taking Orders

: Take customer food and drink orders accurately and efficiently. Answer questions regarding the menu, ingredients, and food preparation.

Serving Food and Drinks

: Deliver food and beverages to the appropriate table in a timely manner. Ensure that orders are served in accordance with restaurant standards. Check with guests to ensure they are satisfied with their meals.

Customer Service

: Provide friendly and attentive service to guests throughout their dining experience. Address and resolve customer complaints or concerns promptly and professionally.

Maintaining Cleanliness

: Keep tables, chairs, and surrounding areas clean and organized. Clear dirty dishes and glasses from tables as customers finish.

Handling Payments

: Present checks to customers and process payments. Handle cash, credit cards, or digital payments accurately.

Collaborating with Team Members

: Work alongside other wait staff, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth service. Communicate effectively with the kitchen to relay orders and special requests.

Upselling

: Suggest additional items (such as appetizers, desserts, or drinks) to enhance the dining experience and increase sales.

Maintaining Knowledge of Menu

: Stay up-to-date on the restaurant's menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods. Be knowledgeable about the restaurant's policies, including allergen information.

Education and Experience:

Education

Experience

Waiters work in restaurants, cafes, bars, or other food establishments. The work environment can be fast-paced, especially during peak hours, requiring adaptability and patience. Evening, weekend, and holiday shifts may be required, as restaurants often operate outside of regular business hours.
