VP of Engineering - FinTech - Dubai, Full TimeWe are looking for a VP of Engineering to join our client, who are a leading FinTech organization in Dubai. As the VP of Engineering, you will oversee the engineering function, lead a team of talented engineers, and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver high-impact projects. You will possess deep technical expertise, strategic vision, and an entrepreneurial mindset with a proven track record of driving both product innovation and operational excellence in high-growth tech or fintech environments.Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the CTO to ensure technical decisions align with business goals, driving market positioning, revenue growth, and operational efficiency.
• Work closely with product management to define the technical roadmap, ensuring engineering efforts deliver innovative, scalable, and reliable solutions.
• Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing, diverse engineering team.
• Cultivate a culture of technical excellence, accountability, and continuous learning, while creating career development pathways and supporting leadership growth within the team.
• Expand the engineering organization by recruiting top-tier talent, structuring teams for optimal efficiency, and fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and high performance.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing data team, nurturing a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure key projects are delivered on time and within budget by driving efficient project management methodologies, such as Agile. Prioritize competing projects based on business impact and available resources.
• Continuously evaluate, optimize, and implement engineering processes to improve product quality, accelerate time-to-market, and boost team productivity. Introduce best practices in code review, testing, and DevOps to maintain a reliable and scalable codebase.
• Stay informed of emerging technology trends and assess new technologies that provide a competitive edge in fintech, particularly in AI, machine learning, and blockchain.
• Lead efforts to enhance engineering operational efficiency by implementing automation, improving technical documentation, and establishing KPIs to track performance

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in engineering leadership roles, with a proven track record of success in scaling engineering teams.
• Proven experience in fintech, payments, or banking technologies, with in-depth knowledge of card issuing, payment processing, and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Expertise in software development, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), microservices architecture, API development, and building scalable platforms.
• Experience with security frameworks and compliance in fintech environments.
• A track record of innovation, bringing new ideas to life, and solving complex technical and operational challenges with creative solutions.
• Strong understanding of data architecture, data governance, and data privacy regulations.
