Our client, a leading financial institution in the UAE is currently looking for a VP - M&A (FIG) to join their growing team. The VP will play a crucial role in leading and overseeing the execution of merger and acquisition (M&A) transactions. You will also be working closely with senior internal stakeholders to ensure successful integration of acquired businesses, conduct thorough due diligence, manage legal considerations, oversee terms and conditions, and mitigate risks associated with M&A activities.

Responsibilities:

- Ensure seamless transition from origination to execution phase, providing support and expertise throughout the M&A process
- Lead team of professionals engaged in M&A execution activities, including integration, due diligence, legal due diligence, terms and conditions, and risk management, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure optimal performance and professional growth
- Oversee end-to-end execution of M&A transactions, including development and implementation of integration plans, identification of integration synergies, and monitoring of post-merger integration activities
- Conduct comprehensive due diligence on target companies, analyzing financial statements, legal documents, operational metrics, and other relevant information to identify potential risks, synergies, and opportunities
- Collaborate with legal teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and mitigate legal risks associated with M&A transactions
- Manage negotiation and finalization of terms and conditions for M&A transactions, working closely with internal/external stakeholders

Requirements:

- Minimum 10 years of experience in a top tier investment bank, PE firm or in house corporate development with strong M&A execution in FIG
- Bachelor\'s degree in finance or related field. MBA or CFA is highly advantageous
- Proven track record (with deal sheet) of successfully executing and integrating M&A transactions, including experience with due diligence, legal considerations, terms and conditions negotiation, and risk management
- Excellent analytical and financial modeling skills, with a deep understanding of valuation techniques, financial statements, and investment analysis
