Let\'s work together to achieve great things.JOB PURPOSE:The job holder is responsible for managing the development, implementation and maintainenance of Risk Data Governance & Quality in alignment with Enterprise Data Governance. They are accountable for setting direction and ensuring alignment with business objectives with regards to how data is managed across the business organization. The job holder is responsible for implementation of data management standards including but not limited to setting up of KPI, reports, dashboards aligned with BCBS239, Basel III/IV, Internal Model Based Regulatory Capital, GDPR, Dodd - Frank etc.The job holder is also a key member of the Enterprise data management and is expected to play an important role in influencing and providing direction to the data management community.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:Strategic responsibilities
Contribute to the development of the Risk Organization Data Strategy and support data management in line with strategic business objectives and FAB cultures and values.
Responsible for the development and oversight of data governance framework, standards, practices, policies, and processes.
Lead the development of the Data Management function as a center of excellence committed to ingraining a data-driven decision-making culture across the business organization, teaming with external partners, and offering end-to-end data services.
Undertake the monitoring and analysis of latest strategic, technological, and regulatory trends within the organisation and on a global scale.
Anticipate challenges and risks associated with the management of data as a strategic asset and promotes action that produces optimal outcomes.
People Management responsibilities
Supports the process of establishing goals and key performance indicators in alignment with the Enterrpise Data Governance Office and monitors these goals and indicators on a periodical basis.
Leads by example, encourages self-direction amongst other members of the team.
Supports the development of data management awareness and understanding across the organization.
Actively seeks out opportunities for collaboration across the organization for data related initiatives.
Core responsibilities.
Responsible for the development, and implementation of the data management program, standards, policies, and procedures within the Business Unit.
Responsible for maintainenance of risk data warehouse from data management.
Support the designing and development of the risk data strategy components.
Contribute to the development and implementation of data governance policies, standards, and procedures.
Manage relationships across the business unit to define and manage data properly e.g., Business Definitions, Business Rules, etc.
Help Risk modelling teams with design and execution of appropriate education within business unit and awareness activities that promote the importance and direction of data governance activity.
Promote sharing and reuse of data assets across the organization.
Maintaining external data partnerships and relationships with external data stakeholders (regulators, vendors, SMEs etc.)
Manage the development and ongoing maintenance of data definitions, standards, lineage, and other data governance artifacts as part of the data catalogue.
QualificationsMinimum Qualification
Engineering Graduate/MBA with technical education in data related discipline
Minimum Experience
10-12 years of relevant experience in the banking sector with at least 5 years in similar positions of progressively increasing managerial responsibilities in the Data Management function.
Should have technical knowhow to operate hands on.

Good knowledge of Data Governance and Data Quality programs, frameworks, policies, and procedures.
Experience working on strategic programs and by synthesizing business requirements and priorities with existing organisational capabilities.
Track record of successfully delivering business value attributed to improved data management practices.
