Job Purpose
VoFG Communications Officer role is a pivotal position within the VoFG department. Working closely with the Director, the wider VoFG team, and other departments, you will be a marketing and communications generalist responsible for all aspects of the VoFG's marketing needs for the Middle East region. This includes branding and design, email marketing, media relations, social media marketing, and website management. You will also provide daily Arabic administrative support for the VoFG department.
Role Description
Core Accountabilities
• Branding and Design
• Producing digital and print collateral (website and social media assets, flyers, certificates, presentation slides, onsite branding, etc.) adhering to brand guidelines and project timelines.
• Assisting with the regular update of the brand style guide.
• Email Marketing
• Writing copy, designing, and disseminating newsletters as per industry best practice.
• Media Relations
• Drafting press releases, Q&As, and facilitating media interviews.
• Social Media Marketing
• Creating and posting content on Meta and X (formerly Twitter).
• Monthly analytics.
• Community management.
• Website Management
• Updating the website with SEO copy.
• Using features like apps, forms, and surveys.
• Vendor Management
• Liaising with PR, social media, and/or production agencies on an as-needed basis.
Daily Arabic Administrative Support
• Provide translation and proofreading support for Arabic language materials related to VoFG initiatives.
• Manage Arabic correspondence for the VoFG department, including emails and social media messages.
• Assist with the development and maintenance of Arabic language content on the VoFG section of the website.
What We're Looking For
Essential
• Bachelor's in Marketing, Business, or a related field
• Experience of 1-3 years in marketing
• Proficiency with design tools (Adobe, Canva, or similar)
• Solid knowledge of social channels including Meta, X (formerly Twitter), and others
• Proficiency in WordPress, Zoho Sites, or similar CMS
• Working knowledge of website analytics including but not limited to G4
• Strong project and time management skills
• Team player with a learning mindset
• Attention to detail
• Bilingual English/Arabic speaker with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages
Desirable
• Previous experience working in a cultural, sustainability, education, and/or not-for-profit environment.
