Job Title: Product Merchandiser/Furniture Retail

Job Summary: A Product Merchandiser is responsible for managing the presentation and performance of a company's product range, focusing on optimizing product assortments, SKUs and catalogs to meet customer demands and maximize sales. This role involves data-driven decisions and ensuring that the right products are available at the right time, in the right quantity and aligned with customer preferences. The Product Merchandiser will also manage the photo gallery, ensuring that product images are high-quality, up-to-date and accurately represent the product catalog.

Key Responsibilities:



Product Assortment & Catalog Management:

Develop and manage a comprehensive product catalog, ensuring accurate SKU listings and product descriptions. Analyze product assortment performance and recommend adjustments based on market trends, customer preferences, and sales data. Plan and curate seasonal and promotional product assortments, optimizing for inventory turnover and margin growth.

SKU Management & Optimization:

Oversee the lifecycle of SKUs, from product introduction to phase-out. Ensure accurate tracking and categorization of products through SKU management systems, keeping product data up to date across all channels. Identify slow-moving SKUs and make recommendations for reordering, discounting or removing them from the catalog.

Inventory Control & Stock Planning:

Collaborate with supply chain and procurement teams to ensure optimal stock levels across all SKUs. Forecast demand based on historical sales data, customer behavior, and seasonal trends to ensure products are available at the right time. Implement strategies for inventory management to prevent stockouts or overstocking, using automated tools where available.

Product Placement & Merchandising Strategy:

Develop and implement product placement strategies that align with the product catalog and SKU performance to maximize visibility and sales. Create data-driven recommendations for in-store and online product displays that highlight high-performing SKUs. Ensure cross-selling and up-selling opportunities are captured through strategic product placements.

Photo Gallery Maintenance & Product Imagery:

Maintain an organized and up-to-date photo gallery of all products in the catalog. Ensure that product images accurately represent the product, including different angles, color variations and key features. Work closely with the creative team or photographers to coordinate the production of high-quality product photos. Ensure that images are optimized for use across multiple platforms (e-commerce sites, catalogs, marketing materials). Regularly review product images for accuracy and ensure they are updated as new variants or models are introduced.

Sales and Performance Analysis:

Regularly monitor SKU performance, sales trends, and inventory turnover to ensure product assortment meets customer demand. Analyze sales data and product catalog performance to identify emerging trends and adjust assortments accordingly. Provide actionable insights to marketing and sales teams on how to better position products based on their performance.

Collaboration with Suppliers and Vendors:

Work closely with suppliers to ensure the timely introduction and availability of new SKUs in the product catalog. Negotiate with suppliers for special promotions, product exclusives, and stock availability for top-performing SKUs. Ensure that product information, including images and specifications, are accurately reflected in the product catalog.

Catalog & SKU Maintenance:

Ensure that all product data across digital and physical channels is accurate and up to date. Maintain consistency in product descriptions, pricing, and specifications across various systems (website, point of sale, inventory management systems).

Reporting & Documentation:

Create regular reports on product assortment performance, SKU sales, and catalog updates for management and cross-functional teams. Document product lifecycle updates and changes to SKU data for internal record-keeping and forecasting.

Customer Insights & Feedback:

Gather customer feedback on product assortment preferences and use data to inform catalog adjustments and product selections. Monitor product reviews, sales, and trends to ensure that assortments reflect customer needs and expectations.
Qualifications:

Education: A bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Retail Management or a related field is preferred. Experience: 2-4 years of experience in product merchandising, retail management, or catalog management, with a focus on SKU and inventory management. Skills: Strong understanding of SKU management, product catalogs and inventory planning. Experience with product photography and maintaining a digital photo gallery. Proficient in catalog management tools, product information systems and data analysis tools. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data to inform assortment and SKU strategies. Familiarity with market trends and customer behavior. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel (pivot tables, data analysis) and other relevant merchandising tools.
Work Environment:

Primarily office-based, with occasional visits to retail locations or suppliers. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. May require occasional travel for supplier meetings or product assessments.

Valid driving license required



Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From AED6,000.00 per month
