We are seeking a skilled and passionate Vietnamese Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in authentic Vietnamese cuisine, with the ability to prepare and present dishes that reflect the rich flavors and traditions of Vietnam. The role requires a focus on quality, efficiency, and maintaining high standards of food safety.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare, cook, and present a wide variety of Vietnamese dishes, including but not limited to pho, banh mi, spring rolls, and other traditional recipes.
• Maintain consistency and authenticity in the preparation of all menu items.
• Contribute to menu planning by suggesting and developing new Vietnamese dishes.
• Adapt recipes based on seasonal availability of ingredients and customer preferences.
• Ensure all kitchen workstations are clean, organized, and fully stocked.
• Handle food preparation equipment and tools with care and in compliance with safety guidelines.
• Monitor and Maintain food quality, ensuring all dishes meet established standards.
• Perform regular tastings and adjust seasonings as necessary to deliver exceptional flavor.
• Assist in monitoring and managing inventory levels to avoid shortages or excess.
• Reduce waste by following portion control guidelines and maintaining proper storage.
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to Ensure efficient service during busy periods.
• Assist and train junior staff in Vietnamese cooking techniques as needed.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and workplace safety standards.
• Maintain personal hygiene and Ensure food is handled in a clean and sanitary manner.
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Vietnamese Cook or similar role in a professional kitchen.
• In-depth knowledge of Vietnamese ingredients, cooking techniques, and flavor profiles.
• Proficiency in basic kitchen techniques like chopping, marinating, frying, grilling, and steaming.
• Interest in and enthusiasm for learning and preparing Vietnamese dishes.
• Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods and handle the physical demands of a busy kitchen.
• Capability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively with the kitchen team.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED3,500.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
