About Job

The Video Engineer for TV Broadcast is responsible for managing video equipment and systems for television broadcasts. This includes setting up, operating, and maintaining video production equipment, ensuring high-quality video output, and collaborating with the production team to achieve seamless broadcast execution for TV shows, news, sports events, and other broadcast content.

• Video Equipment Setup and Configuration: Set up and configure video equipment including cameras, switchers, and video servers for TV broadcasts.
• Video Signal Management: Manage video signals from various sources, including cameras and video feeds, ensuring optimal video quality.
• Video Transmission: Oversee the transmission of video signals from the studio to the broadcast station or live feed, ensuring signal integrity.
• Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform regular maintenance on video equipment and troubleshoot technical issues during broadcasts.
• Live Broadcast Operations: Operate video equipment during live broadcasts, including switching between video sources and making real-time adjustments.
• Collaboration with Production Team: Work with producers, directors, camera operators, and other team members to achieve the desired visual outcome for broadcasts.
• Technical Documentation: Maintain detailed records of equipment usage, technical issues, and solutions.
• Video Recording and Playback: Manage video recording sessions, ensure clear playback, and perform video editing as needed.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure that all video operations comply with industry regulations and safety standards.
• Training and Support: Provide training and support to other team members on video equipment and broadcasting techniques.

•Qualifications •

• Educational Degree: Degree in Video Engineering, Film Production, Broadcast Engineering, or a related field.
• Technical Certifications: Relevant certifications in video engineering or broadcasting technology (e.g., Certified Technology Specialist - Video (CTS-V)).
• Experience: Proven experience as a Video Engineer in TV broadcast or a related field, with experience in live broadcast environments preferred.
• Video Equipment: In-depth knowledge of video equipment such as cameras, switchers, and video servers.
• Broadcasting Technologies: Understanding of video signal flow, video broadcast systems, and live production environments.
• Video Production Techniques: Skills in video production techniques, including video switching, signal management, and editing.
• Technical Troubleshooting: Ability to diagnose and resolve video issues during live broadcasts.
• Regulations and Compliance: Familiarity with broadcasting regulations and industry standards for video production.
• Technical Proficiency: Expertise in operating and configuring video equipment for TV broadcasts.
• Video Signal Management: Ability to manage and optimize video signals from multiple sources.
• Attention to Detail: Precision in setting up equipment and managing video quality.
• Problem-Solving: Skilled in identifying and resolving technical issues under pressure.
• Communication: Effective communication with the production team to meet broadcast needs.
• Organizational Skills: Maintaining records of equipment and technical documentation.
• Adaptability: Flexibility to work irregular hours and adapt to changing broadcast requirements.
