Job Description

:Robert Half is working on an exclusive basis with a Real Estate company based in Abu Dhabi which is expanding internationally.The RoleYou will play an integral role in all aspects building real estate strategy, managing an existing real estate yielding asset portfolio, and leading investment processes (for funds, directs, co-investments) including deal origination, modelling, due diligence, execution, value maximization, and exit. The candidate may also be required on a case-by-case basis to lead the commercial aspects of development projects including feasibility, site-acquisition, design, delivery oversight, and sourcing and negotiation of leases, operator and sales and purchase agreements. The candidate will help senior members to prepare the deals for investment committee, will be responsible for liaison with 3rd parties such as consulting firms and should be capable of supervising associates. The candidate will have oversight over a team of investment associates/analysts and other real estate professionals (leasing, facilities management, etc.) that will be assist with sourcing, due diligence & execution of Real Estate transactions, asset management and management reporting.
  • Assist in development of real estate division strategy, budget, and management reporting
  • Profile investment themes and approaches and take a leading role in research and analysis on prospective investments
  • Leverage existing network of relationships to originate, due diligence & execution of a variety of real estate funds, direct, and co-investment opportunities globally
  • Performing complex financial analysis and valuations on existing assets/investments (including leasing scenarios, Capex implementation feasibilities, sales, redevelopment etc.)
  • Lead and oversee key functions of a transaction including financial modelling, IC presentations, due diligence, and structuring.
  • Coordinate the execution of investment transactions across all parties involved (e.g., legal counsel, 3rd party diligence providers, internal operations, and portfolio companies)
  • Assist in negotiations with potential partners including, but not limited to letters of intent, purchase agreements, JV agreements, etc.
  • Develop trust-based counselling relationship with portfolio executives and senior leadership
  • Monitor performance and risk profile of existing portfolio investments and recommend monetization strategy
  • Key participant in preparing information for the investment committee
  • Create and maintain deal flow databases by identifying potential targets and preparing company specific due diligence reports and analysis
  • Mentor and train analysts and associates in developing financial and valuation models.
  • Engage, prepare, and participate in board meetings of Portfolio Companies
The Candidate
  • MBA from a top-tier university (preferred)
  • CFA or CAIA would be preferred
  • Ability to comfortably interact with senior management (internal & external)
  • Appetite to become a subject matter expert in broad set of structures and geographies Must possess superior interpersonal communication and presentation skills
  • Must be a strong team player with demonstrated ability and interest in working closely with team members and delivering quality work under tight schedules
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong English Language skills, along with a 2nd language (preferably Arabic)
  • Minimum 12 -15 years of experience in Real Estate Funds, Direct, Co-Investments Significant experience of overseeing real asset transactions from end to end including incomeproducing assets and development project
  • Strong understanding of accounting, finance, and capital structures
  • Must have experience building strategy, budgets, forecasts, and reporting processes
  • Must have outstanding research, financial modelling, analytical and valuation skills
  • Experience in driving important work streams in private real estate investments, conducting due diligence and working with external parties
