About this role:We are seeking a dynamic individual to lead our Procurement (Aircraft & Engines) Department, overseeing all commercial and technical contracts and procurement functions related to aircraft, cabin interiors, engines, and services provided by third-party organizations. The successful candidate will focus on identifying opportunities for cost optimization while aligning procurement strategies with our corporate objectives. They will leverage the Emirates brand, reputation, and buying power in supplier negotiations, ensuring strategic and tactical engagement to achieve optimal outcomes.In this role you will:Strategic Development: Develop and implement procurement and sourcing strategies aligned with corporate objectives, ensuring timely delivery and competitive commercial terms while maintaining the highest quality standards. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align procurement activities with business requirements, budgetary allocations, and delivery schedules.Team Leadership: Lead and direct the Procurement team to provide end-to-end procurement support, including source identification, tender processes, negotiation of commercial terms, contract drafting, and execution. Develop and maintain governance frameworks to mitigate financial risks and ensure compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements.Supplier Relationship Management: Foster robust relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and regulatory compliance. Identify opportunities to strengthen partnerships, including influencing suppliers to establish a local presence in Dubai for effective supply chain support.Aircraft and Engine Sourcing: Manage sourcing of aircraft and negotiate contracts in alignment with top management directives. Oversee engine/APU sourcing, spare purchases, and after-market support to optimize Emirates operations.Lease Negotiations and Management: Support Corporate Treasury in negotiating new financing arrangements, lease extensions, and aircraft disposals. Manage the end-of-lease process, including negotiation of compensation payments and timely redelivery of aircraft.MRO, Flight Training, and EFTA Support: Identify MROs offering maintenance slots, negotiate contracts for airframe maintenance checks, and provide procurement support for flight operations and the Emirates Flight Training Academy.Contract Management: Monitor contractual obligations, initiate required actions, and maintain a repository of contracts. Ensure compliance, recover contractual credits/concessions, and review yearly price adjustments.This role might be for you if you have:

• Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) in Aviation /Airline Procurement Engineering or a related Aviation / Airline business field (i.e. Business Administration, Supply Management, Purchasing & Material Service).
• Post Graduate Degree in Procurement Engineering or related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 12 years experience in an airline technical procurement environment or equivalent engineering environment of which at least 5 years in leading / managing a Procurement team in a major airline or MRO (Maintenance Repair Organisation).
• Strong knowledge in Aviation / Airline Purchasing & Supply or Business Management.

• Ability to manage teams across a diverse multi-cultural environment.
