Job Summary




Responsible for the Information Technology - Networking and Infrastructure of Atlantis, The Palm encompassing planning the information technology future for the resort, as well as for the implementation and


maintenance of current systems. The essence of the role is technology leadership




Key Duties and Responsibilities




Organizational Planning:




• Shape and execute IT roadmaps and strategies
• Work closely with outsourcing partners to ensure their understanding and responsiveness to both long-term and short-term business goals and strategy
• Collaborate and negotiate with outsourcing partners to support system operations / development / integration, ensuring reliability, competence, flexibility and cost effectiveness
• Formulate and deploy long-term strategic plans for acquiring and enabling efficient and cost-effective information processing and communication technologies
• Facilitate the development, maintenance and monitoring of organizational plans
• Ensure clarity, understanding and commitment from all stakeholders
• Develop and manage integrated, strategy aligned departmental work plans
• Develop and manage the annual operating and capital budgets
• Oversee the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, and support of all hardware and software based on organizational needs.

Management Accountabilities:




• Manage IT division operational and strategic planning, including business requirements, project planning, and organizing and negotiating the allocation of resources.
• Manage direct system implementation initiatives (hardware and software) enabling business to achieve its targets
• Support the President and Managing Director and other senior directors in all aspects of program growth specifically through strategic and operational planning guidance and by ensuring that required infrastructure and support services are in place
• Oversee and/or personally manage key projects
• Coach, develop and manage direct reports and respective teams including hiring and performance management

Innovation:




• Ensure the continuous improvement, rationalization and management of existing systems and operations Assess current IT organization and staff, making adjustments and changes to improve IT effectiveness
• Develop innovative initiatives to enhance internal efficiency and effectiveness
• Develop and implement department's strategic plan in accordance with the resort's overall strategic plan
• Maintain current knowledge in the field of Information Technology, Risk Management and IT Security; comply with federal, state and local laws and regulations; follow all safety precautions/standards and resorts policies and procedures
• Perform other related duties as assigned, such duties do not normally change the level of the job
• Develop standard operating procedures and policies, including written protocols and guidance for all colleagues, while fostering a culture of professional, courteous, and timely support and service

• Proven information technology executive with at least 10 years of IT leadership experience
• Demonstrated track record of aligning IT with the business and improving the quality of IT decision making, thereby creating business value IT from investments
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field is required. A Master's degree is plus
