Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Veterinary Professional to join our team on a large dairy farm in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in the care and treatment of dairy cattle, preferably with experience working in the GCC region. This role requires a strong understanding of animal health management, disease prevention, and effective medical treatments to ensure the well-being and productivity of the herd. In addition, the Veterinary Professional will play a crucial role in maintaining the overall health of the livestock by implementing proactive health programs, responding to emergencies, and collaborating with the farm management team to optimize farm operations and animal welfare. Key Responsibilities:

Animal Health Care: Diagnose and treat illnesses, injuries, and health conditions in dairy cattle, ensuring their overall well-being. Routine Health Checks: In addition, perform regular health assessments to detect and address any issues early, contributing to the overall health and productivity of the herd. Preventative Care: Moreover, implement preventative health programs, including vaccinations, deworming, and other treatments to prevent the spread of disease. Emergency Care: Furthermore, respond to emergencies such as injuries, calving complications, or disease outbreaks, providing prompt and effective medical intervention. Reproductive Health: Additionally, monitor and support breeding programs, ensuring the reproductive health of cows and the successful delivery of healthy calves. Collaboration with Farm Management: Alongside this, work closely with the farm management team to align veterinary care with farm production goals, advising on herd health strategies that optimize productivity. Record Keeping and Reporting: In parallel, maintain accurate medical records for all animals, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with farm policies and regulations. Staff Training and Education: Lastly, provide training and guidance to farm staff on animal health, handling, and safety protocols, fostering a well-educated and responsible team. Required Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelors degree in Veterinary Medicine or equivalent. Minimum of 2 years of experience working on large dairy farms, with experience in the GCC region preferred. Strong experience in diagnosing and treating common dairy cattle diseases and managing herd health. Ability to perform routine and emergency veterinary procedures, including surgeries if required. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with farm staff and management. Strong commitment to animal welfare and high ethical standards.
