Identifies and articulates the scope of services including but not limited to diagnosing patients, prescribing medicines and referring patient to specialists/diagnostic veterinarian
Examines, diagnoses and provide treatment, therapy and medication and other related medical care with focus on the overall health of patients including and not limited to physical and psychological
Consults with clients to provide information on medical conditions prior to procedure advising them on the best possible options and associated risks
Arranges referrals to other specialties if required and tracks changes in patients conditions for new treatments/interventions
Responds to medical emergencies, stabilizes patients and arranges for transfer to specialized centers as needed
Ensures clients are educating in health management and disease prevention.
Ensures providing input to the Department Head on the effects of decisions and changes on the quality of care provided to patients
Develops and maintains clinical documents ensuring their accuracy and timely completion and capturing of detailed information and services provided to the patient
Designs, evaluates and ensures implementation of clinical programs, initiatives and services to ensure patient safety and quality healthcare delivery and participates in clinical education and research activities
