For individuals who can take the initiative but work well within a team.We are seeking a Vessel Resource Manager to manage the Resource Centre that oversees all company-owned and third-party vessels, small boats and self-elevated platforms. This role involves ensuring the efficient and effective operation, preventative maintenance and local as well as international compliance of vessel standards, while leading and coordinating the activities of vessel managers, technical superintendents, small boat managers, SEP managers, and a marine assurance and HSEQ personnel. The role will be responsible for controlling IFS reporting, cost control for the resource center, managing asset allocation, and ensuring optimal utilization.Key Responsibilities:Vessel management:
  • Develop and implement operational procedures, maintenance schedules, and best practices for vessel management.
  • Ensure all vessels comply with national and international maritime regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
  • Monitor vessel performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to support vessel operations, maintenance, and compliance.
  • Support the project management team by coordinating vessel resources, planning, and communication.
Efficient & Effective delivery:
  • Professional and proactive engagement with all local client stakeholders and marine teams including but not limited to Aramco, ADNOC, QE and NOC.
  • Ensure active and accurate delivery to all external and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure support for efficient and effective delivery of staff development and professional competence tracking
  • Drive change through resource utilization estimation and operational forecasting.
Engagement & Providing feedback:
  • Maintain relationships with key stakeholders and experts to deliver an impactful resources management process successfully.
  • Provide guidance, and collect feedback on resources, planning, process and management.
Cost Management:
  • Control and manage the IFS system for the resource centre, ensuring accurate data entry and utilization.
  • Implement cost control measures to manage expenses and ensure financial efficiency.
HSEQ/Compliance:
  • Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for all vessel operations and maintenance activities in line with international marine standards, but also compliance to local NOC and government standards including but not limited to Aramco, ADNOC, QE and NO
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
  • Shows and applies genuine management commitment and exemplary leadership to deepen and strengthen our safety culture, with a specific focus on ensuring new developments drive down HSSE risk
  • Ensure that all staff involved in implementation and pilots continuously apply the Fugro values, complying with the Code of Conduct and adhering to the Fugro Life Saving Rules of HSE by securing a healthy and safe working environment.
What Skills & Experience Will You Have?
  • Degree in Marine Engineering, Maritime Studies, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in vessel management or marine operations, with significant experience in a leadership role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of vessel operations, maintenance, and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for vessel management, including IFS.
  • Proven ability to manage and lead a team of technical and operational personnel.
