Job Description

Job Purpose Apply financial accounting and reporting skills to perform routine month-end procedures critical to achieving successful financial closure. Interface with internal and external clients, providing accurate financial information and routine advisory services. Reporting To: Head of Venture Accounting

Key Responsibilities

Revenue and Inventory Accounting

Perform monthly accounting for product revenues, reconciling delivered quantities, invoices, and payment statements.

Complete monthly inventory valuation, reviewing depreciation, royalty, and operating expense rates, and ensuring alignment with reconciliation systems.

Prepare inventory schedules for LER and ensure in-transit volume accuracy.

Financial Reporting and Compliance

Contribute to the preparation of preliminary and final sales summary reports.

Assist in producing schedules for shareholder packs, ensuring validation with project accounting values.

Support the preparation of Annual Financial Statements and monthly reporting.

Systems Management and Controls

Interface LNG revenue invoices from EC to SAP, ensuring compliance with control procedures.

Maintain the section SharePoint site and act as the focal point for internal/external audits.

Apply and monitor the compliance framework, recommending process improvements to strengthen internal controls.

Ad Hoc Analysis and Reporting

Prepare statistical returns and other financial analyses as required. Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline; OR

A bachelor's degree in any discipline with a professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CFA, CMA, CPA). Experience and Skills

Experience:

At least 3 years in the oil and gas industry, with 3 years in financial accounting roles.

Demonstrated knowledge of accounting systems, SAP experience preferred.

Skills:

Proficient in financial recording and reporting tools.

Excellent written and verbal English communication.

Strong computer literacy, with expertise in business software.
