Qualifications:
- Valid driver\'s license with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience as a van driver or in a similar delivery role preferred.
- Familiarity with local roads and traffic patterns.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
- Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting
- Safely operate a company-owned van to transport goods/passengers to various locations, following all traffic laws and regulations.
- Load and unload goods/passengers onto/off the van, ensuring proper handling and securing of items.
- Plan efficient routes to minimize travel time and fuel consumption, utilizing GPS navigation systems or maps as needed.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the van to ensure it is in good working condition, reporting any maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Keep accurate records of vehicle mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance activities.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries/pick-ups, maintaining professional and courteous interactions with clients and colleagues.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and other team members to coordinate schedules and respond to delivery requests promptly.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding vehicle operation, safety standards, and customer service protocols.
- Handle any delivery-related issues or concerns efficiently and professionally, resolving them in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, both inside the van and at delivery/pick-up locations.
