Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled upholsterer specializing in sofas and beds to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with upholstery techniques, including fabric selection, cutting, sewing, and finishing. This role requires attention to detail, craftsmanship, and the ability to work independently to deliver high-quality upholstered products.

Responsibilities:

Measure, cut, and sew upholstery fabrics to cover sofas, couches, chairs, and beds.

Apply padding, springs, and webbing to furniture frames to create a comfortable and durable finish.

Ensure patterns and designs are aligned correctly for aesthetic appeal.

Assist customers in selecting appropriate fabrics for their furniture.

Prepare fabrics by cutting and ensuring they are free from defects before beginning the upholstery process.

Repair and restore old or damaged furniture upholstery, including replacing worn-out padding or fabric.

Assess furniture for necessary repairs and recommend appropriate solutions to customers.

Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and customer expectations.

Address any issues or imperfections in the upholstery work promptly.

Communicate effectively with customers to understand their upholstery needs and preferences.

Provide recommendations on fabric choices and upholstery styles based on customer requirements.

Skills and Requirements:

Proven experience as an upholsterer specializing in sofas and beds.

Proficiency in upholstery techniques, including fabric cutting, sewing, and finishing.

Knowledge of different upholstery materials, fabrics, and their characteristics.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet production deadlines.

Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality craftsmanship.

Good communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with customers.
