JOB DESCRIPTION

The production supervisor acts as a member of the production planning team to develop adequate overall staff, resources, processes, and systems to meet production demand in a profitable and timely manner.

Responsible for effectively managing the production of assigned and approved collections, samples, customized orders, including but not limited to, design, merchandising, technical design. Manage final cost, raw materials and finished product vendors to achieve set standards on quality, on-time delivery and margin goals. Accountable for on time delivery issues and resolution

Skills

Minimum 5 years supervisory experience in Sourcing.

Understand principles of Manufacturing.

Ability to handle rush and time urgent orders in a positive manner.

Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Conversational Hindi/Urdu is preferred.

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Strong negotiation skills.

Knowledge of merchandizing in apparel/ fashion in house/ export/ buying.

Strong organizational skills.

Adapts to change and is able to seamlessly handle multiple tasks and priorities.

Highly collaborative, fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.

Expert in quotation/invoice making.

Can handle production on timely manner

Duties and Responsibilities:

Production:

Order and track raw materials in a timely manner.

Shift-to-shift communication and cooperation.

Maintain inventory quantities, identify replenishment needs for raw material inventories within spending limits and according to financial and accounting protocols. This responsibility includes placing orders to suppliers and being responsible for accuracy of on-hand levels.

Monitor and file all client's order forms and job orders and cross check actual job performance.

Work with Design and Technical Services to ensure Production fit

Monitor production status of all programs by season and report on a weekly basis

Drive cost negotiation process by ensuring all information needed for costing is available.

Skill at Re-Order and Chase calendar management.

Ensuring quality production based on standards set.

Coordinate and lead weekly production meetings with outsourced production heads to update with production needs, quality standards and delivery deadlines.

Review bills of material and shop orders for accuracy.

Prepare and conduct productivity report and staff performance

Develop time and action calendars for all season collection deliveries.

Daily communication with overseas offices and factories on all product details, delivery requirements, costing and purchase orders. Ensure that all details are accurately updated in a timely manner and conveyed to appropriate parties

Delivery tracking - update the revised at consolidator dates when needed, implement delivery policy and make sure all late deliveries have comments explaining delay.
