Truck Driver
Job Description
A truck driver works either for a company or under independent contracts who transports different types of merchandise from one place to another in a truck, van or any vehicle capable of carrying large loads. He may have to transport supplies, hazardous chemicals, manufacturing equipment. Primary Responsibilities: . Haul cargo from one point to another so that they can be distributed, bought or sold. . Inspect trucks for safety and follow the safety instructions, especially when carrying hazardous materials or chemicals. . Responsible for the condition of his vehicle and look for any malfunctioning part. . Inspect the cargo to check whether it has been loaded correctly. . Review all the necessary shipping documents. . Ensure for compliances of all safety procedures. . Encourage reporting of unsafe acts and conditions.
