: Truck Driver (FMCG) Responsibilities:
- Transportation of Goods: Safely and efficiently transport FMCG products from distribution centers to retail outlets or warehouses.
- Loading and Unloading: Load and unload goods onto the truck, ensuring proper handling and securing of products to prevent damage during transit.
- Adherence to Safety Regulations: Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations while operating the truck. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures for safe driving practices.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and maintenance on the truck, including checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and overall vehicle condition. Report any mechanical issues or concerns promptly.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of shipments, including delivery schedules, mileage logs, and fuel consumption. Ensure all necessary paperwork, such as bills of lading and delivery receipts, are completed accurately and submitted on time.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders. Ensure timely and professional delivery of goods, addressing any inquiries or concerns as needed.
- Route Planning: Plan and optimize delivery routes to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods, taking into account factors such as traffic conditions, weather, and delivery schedules.
- Communication: Maintain open communication with dispatchers, supervisors, and other team members to coordinate deliveries and address any issues or changes in delivery plans.
- Valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL): Hold a valid CDL with the appropriate endorsements for the type of truck being operated.
- Clean Driving Record: Maintain a clean driving record with no serious traffic violations or accidents in the past.
- Experience: Previous experience as a truck driver, preferably in the FMCG industry, is often preferred.
- Physical Stamina: Possess physical stamina and strength to load and unload goods, as well as the ability to sit for extended periods while driving.
- Attention to Detail: Pay close attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation and safe handling of goods.
- Time Management Skills: Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to meet delivery schedules.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing road and weather conditions, as well as unforeseen circumstances that may arise during transit.
- Interpersonal Skills: Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with colleagues, clients, and other stakeholders.
