Function and Scope
The Travel Administrator reports directly to the Regional Travel Manager for the Middle East region and is responsible for the booking of business travel for all Middle East employees.
Responsibilities will include:-
Ensure compliance with processes associated with the ME travel department;
Search for and select the most cost effective travel options for each travel request;
Understand and apply the regional travel policy;
Challenge travel request from staff at all levels to ensure business reasons exists for travel requests;
Ensure all data is captured within travel systems accurately;
Will be required to be on call for out of hours urgent booking support
Advising clients on travel arrangements, e.g. visas and passports, flight rules & regulation;
Offering excellent customer service, dealing with complaints in a calm and diplomatic manner;
Must work within set KPIs.
Essential Requirements:
Prior experience in customer facing roles, e.g. sales, customer service;
Relevant experience in the corporate travel management industry;
Experience booking regular and complex domestic and international itineraries of air, car and hotel.
Detailed understanding of fares and ticketing rules, for car, air, hotel travel;
Bachelors degree or equivalent mandatory;
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs;
Experience in the use of large corporate database systems, preferably within the travel industry (e.g. Concur);
Experience of working within a multi-cultural environment;
Excellent telephone manner, spoken and written English;
