About the Role

Our Transport Planning team is looking for a Transport Planner to assist with the delivery of projects across the Middle East region.


Key responsibilities and duties are listed, but not limited to, the below:
• Use and apply transportation capacity analysis techniques and tools to validate solutions and where necessary support development of mitigations to support study objectives.
• Undertake an active role in small-sized projects taking responsibility for successful delivery.
• Support development of transport strategies and solutions in medium to large scale project.
• Dedicated team player with the ability to effectively communicate at all levels.
• Help prepare transport reports, drawings, and other deliverables for planning projects to the expected quality standards and ensure they meet client and authority expectations.
• Demonstrate a proactive approach to target challenges and identify potential way forward / solutions.
• Ensure that the quality system is applied to all project tasks and delivery.
• Develop understanding of Mott MacDonald methodologies and project management principles.
• Skills in managing own time and communicating to agree priorities with others.

Candidate Specification:
• Minimum Bachelor degree in a relevant engineering discipline; a Master degree in Transport Planning would be advantageous.
• Minimum 2-4 years of related transport planning experience, preferably on Abu Dhabi masterplanning / land development projects is preferred.
• Hands-on experience of the following software is preferred:
+ Strategic modelling tools such as VISUM
+ Junction analysis tools such as Synchro and Sidra
+ AutoCAD
• Adept at using and applying Microsoft Office tools.
• Knowledgeable in Abu Dhabi local planning manuals / guidelines / procedures.
• Strong time management skills and ability to work on multiple projects in parallel.
• Membership to a relevant, recognised professional institution would be advantageous.
