Transport Modeler/Engineer

Dubai, UAE

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Transport Modeler/Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to perform conventional and moderately to slightly complex engineering assignments, applying engineering techniques and analyses within a discipline.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Carry out travel demand modeling using packages including CUBE, VISUM.
• Conduct operational analysis using standard techniques and packages such as SYNCHRO, SIDRA, HCS, VISSIM.
• Conduct traffic survey data collection and analysis.
• Develop and analyses mitigation measures for transportation impact and transportation master plan studies.
• Support the preparation and review of traffic study reports.
• Work closely with related teams by providing data and technical support as needed.
• Provide input and technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers working on the same project.
• Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
• Support the development of junior traffic engineers in collaboration with the Leadership Team.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering Civil or Transportation engineering, Masters in Transportation is an added advantage
• Minimum 3+ years' experience in traffic operations and analysis of various traffic projects.
• Good understanding of Traffic Engineering, Transport Planning and Traffic Modelling.
• Hands on experience in using software's including VISUM and VISSIM in addition to SYNCHRO, SIDRA, & HCS.
• Through knowledge of conducting Traffic Impact Studies (TIS), Transport Masterplans (TMP), Road Corridor Studies, Design-Build Studies, especially in Dubai and KSA.
• Should be able to use Microsoft Excel tools, such as VBA, for numerical and analytical tasks.
• Ability to work under pressure to fulfill project deadlines is essential, as is willingness to take on project delivery and client engagement responsibilities.
• Must be highly motivated, with excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills, and be open to new challenges.
• Participate in strategizing, writing, and reviewing proposals and engage in Business Development meetings as needed.
