• Years of experience = 10 years of experience of which 5 years as fire fighter & rescue operations and 2 years in officer level & 3 years as trainer in Oil & Gas Industry or hazardous chemical industry.
• Fluent communication (speak & write) in English is a must. Communication in Arabic is desirable.
• As a Firefighting Instructor you will deliver a range of emergency response and health & safety-based training courses to NFPA and other international standards. The range of courses includes firefighting, rescue at height, confined space rescue and other associated courses deemed applicable. Delivery of training will be both theoretical and practical with courses predominantly being carried out within the training centre and, on occasion, at AON's premises, ensuring all competency levels are met.

• Plans, and actively participates in the ongoing training and development of own self and subordinates with special emphasis on UAE Nationals. Directs the preparation of structured development programs to assess employees' training and development needs.
• o Deliver on-the-job training, classroom lectures, demonstrations, and guided learning in emergency response subjects.
• o Leads / designs and directs exercises with multiple teams in interior and exterior live fire training exercises using large scale, multi-level simulators including class "A" and "B" fuels, hazardous materials, high angle, vehicle, and confined space rescue.
• o Designs drills and exercises to evaluate individual and team performance in operational aspects of firefighting, hazardous materials, rescue, and fire ground command.
• o Provides individual and team instruction and/or coaching at the skill, task, tactical and strategic level to improve performance.
• o Reviews / compiles all training records - Fire Service Training attendance sheet, evaluation & assessment reports exam sheets, etc. - to develop Fire service performance records for statistical records.
• Audits and inspects ensuring all testing and maintenance is in compliance with integrity and certification requirements, including fire systems, life support equipment, BA, PPE, communication equipment, fire fighting vehicles in order to run effectively the training course.
• Develops / updates the Fire Service training matrices, maintains training records of all Fire and Rescue Service staff including Auxiliary Team Members and schedules course information and prepares periodic reports and presentations on training statistics.
• o Have a sound knowledge of MS Office / PowerPoint presentations. Experience in developing and leading training programs and implementing training plans.
• o Familiarity with related standards: OSHA, NFPA, etc.
• The candidate must possess a level of fitness and physical resilience that will allow the wearing of full fire fighter PPE while working in high ambient temperatures.
• Should hold a Light UAE driving license.
