Ensures the safe and effective movements of all marine vessels in the field.
Schedules and dispatches crew vessels, cargo barges, landing craft, supply boats and any other marine vessel for the conveyance of personnel, equipment or materials, to and from the islands
Co-ordinates the movement of all vessels within the field to minimize congestion and optimize harbor berth allocation, whilst maintaining the highest safety standards.
Receives and processes Voyage Permission Requests (VPR)
Compiles detailed reports of all voyage requests and actual voyages to and from the islands.
Communicates traffic congestion, weather conditions, or any other relevant information to the crews of the vessels in the field, ensuring safety has the highest priority.
Keep track of vessel progress - constant communication with the various crews and
Port Supervisors to ensure the timely movement of vessels in and out of the harbors.
Enter, update and retrieve information from a computerized program to ensure optimum traffic flow, and prioritize trips to ensure project milestones are maintained.
Prepare daily, weekly and monthly trip schedules
Direct contact with vessel crews, port supervisors and UZ750 Logistics Team Lead
Works in accordance with established COMPANY Policies and Procedures. Authority to prioritize vessel movements to a certain degree.
