Job Description

Job Summary: A tower crane operator is responsible for operating a stationary or traveling tower crane to lift, move, position, and reposition loads. They work closely with construction teams to ensure materials and equipment are lifted and placed according to project specifications and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operating the Tower Crane: Operate controls to lift, move, position, and reposition materials and equipment using a tower crane. This includes manipulating levers, pedals, and switches to ensure smooth and precise movements.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and standards to ensure a safe working environment for themselves and others. Conduct pre-operational checks of the crane and ensure it is in proper working condition.
• Load Management: Determine load weights and ensure that crane lifting capacities are not exceeded. Calculate crane capacities and make adjustments as necessary to ensure safe operation.
• Communication: Maintain clear and constant communication with ground crew and other personnel via hand signals, radio, or other communication devices to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Equipment Maintenance: Perform basic maintenance tasks on the crane, such as lubricating parts, checking hydraulic fluid levels, and reporting any mechanical issues to maintenance staff.
• Site Coordination: Work closely with construction teams to coordinate the movement of materials and equipment according to project schedules and requirements.
• Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to emergency situations quickly and efficiently, including lowering loads in a controlled manner in case of power failure or other emergencies.
• Documentation: Keep accurate records of crane operations, including daily logbooks, maintenance records, and inspection reports.

Salary AED 1,800+OT
Accomondation + Transport provided by the company.
