Tool Room Supervisor is responsible for inventory accountability, maintaining a perpetual inventory records system in BARIJ facilities, and establishing minimum and maximum inventory levels in accordance with requirements. The incumbent will work under the general supervision of the Manager and work is reviewed through reports, discussions and results obtained.
Supervises the maintenance of a perpetual inventory records system and recommends changes and improvements as appropriate;
Supervises the stocking, recording and distribution of a large volume of replacement parts for a variety of equipment;
Develops and prepares written and oral audits, status reports, and part reports analysis;
Provides vehicle and driver dispatch for the receipt and delivery of equipment parts from local vendors;
Provides for the addition of stock items and removal of obsolete parts;
Expedites the delivery of critically needed items;
Inventories equipment parts, supplies, tools and service manuals;
To conduct a physical verification of parts on hand at least every quarter ensuring that no discrepancies are there in conjunction with LAHAB Accounts Officer;
Offer guidance, support and personal development to reporting staff; and
Develop and maintain a positive team culture
Experience and Education:
At least a technical diploma in business administration, purchasing or supply management or Technical Certification (Mechanical Engineering)
Experience in manufacturing industry
Knowledge of the procurement and logistics cycles
Minimum of 7 years\' experience in field service, repair center, technical service, manufacturing, and/or dealing in an automotive environment
Knowledge of basic product release terms and processes
Understanding of basic automotive fabrication and manufacturing processes
Familiarity with basic performance requirements (strength, stiffness, crash)
Skills:
Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time
Must be able to deal with work-related deadlines, accountabilities and responsibilities
Must be able to work under frequent job pressure generated by short and inflexible deadlines
Must be able to work independently and under time constraints
