Job description: • Read and interpret blueprints and/or drawings to determine the specific welding requirements, MIG and TIG weld steel, aluminum and stainless steel components based on the specifications of the blueprints and/or drawings for tube.
• Weld and repair door assemblies and sub-components using the GTAW - Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (TIG) and GMAW - Gas Metal Arc Welding (MIG) processes to meet customer and internal quality standards.
• Weld small and large components such as copper plumbing, beams, and pipelines.
• Use specialized machinery for industrial welding and oversee machines that perform the same job.
• Maintain and repair all machinery.
• Assess welded surfaces, structures and components to identify errors.
• Follow and enforce strict safety regulations such as wearing heat-resistant gloves, protective masks, and safety shoes.
• Monitor machinery for appropriate usage and temperature.
• Weld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions.
• Initiate a Preventive Action Request when he realises there is a chance of failure system.
• Assist with cleaning workshop, tools, facilities, equipment.
• Provide labour services as required.
• Up and download material and equipment.
• Maintain the working area clean.
• Regular check-up on machines and tools.
• Reduce the wastage / scrap.
• Report product malfunctions.
• Adhere to safety regulations.
