Ticketing Technical Lead (Metro and Bus)EWI are supporting a leading European Consultancy with who are searching for a Ticketing Technical Lead to provide technical consultancy services for a client implementing a migration from a Card-Based Ticketing System to an Account-Based Ticketing System across multiple transportation systems, ensuring backward compatibility with existing cards.This role is based in Dubai and reports to the Project Manager for the specific project assignment.Responsibilities:

• Oversee and ensure the compliance of systems delivered by vendors for various public transportation modes (buses, metros, trams, etc.), including ticket vending machines and validators.
• Ensuring project delivery meets the client\'s technical requirements and contractual agreements.
• Leading and proactively supervising vendors, resolving technical issues, and preparing technical notes and recommendations for the client.
• Assisting the team and client in defining the migration plan.
• Facilitating the seamless integration of the overall program with the ABT implementation of the central system.
• Supporting the client during the vendor selection process at the tender stage.
• Reviewing and validating technical design approaches, feasibility, and project deliverables.
• Supervising testing activities as required.
• Overseeing installation processes.
• Assisting in the preparation for Take Over Certification.
• Conducting post-launch supervision activities as needed.
• Providing technical support on obsolescence issues.
• Assisting the project management team in preparing project status reports and technical materials for executive review meetings.

Requirements:

• A Master\'s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field is required.
• Professional certifications and memberships in relevant engineering associations and project management are advantageous.
• At least 10 years of experience in the ticketing industry within developed countries, encompassing roles in vendor or client consultancy services.
• A minimum of 5 years of practical experience with ABT and open-loop projects, covering all stages from design to commissioning.
• Experience in upgrading or migrating existing AFC systems (CBT to CBT, CBT to ABT) is desirable..
• Extensive technical knowledge and practical experience in ticketing.
• Expertise in ABT technology, open-loop systems, card-based ticketing, and QR codes.

Language:

• Fluent in English.
