A

Ticketing Supervisor

in a travel company is responsible for overseeing the ticketing department, ensuring smooth operations, managing staff, and providing excellent customer service. This role involves handling airline reservations, ticket issuance, fare calculations, refunds, and resolving ticketing-related issues while ensuring compliance with airline and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:



Supervise and lead the ticketing team, ensuring efficient workflow and productivity. Manage airline bookings, ticket issuance, reissuance, cancellations, and refunds. Ensure compliance with airline policies, fare rules, and travel regulations. Handle escalated customer queries and resolve ticketing issues promptly. Coordinate with airlines, travel agents, and corporate clients for reservations and special requests. Train and mentor ticketing staff on GDS (Global Distribution System) operations (e.g., Amadeus, Galileo, Sabre). Monitor ticketing reports, sales performance, and revenue targets. Stay updated with airline policies, promotions, and industry trends.

Qualifications:



Education

: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Hospitality, Travel, or Business Administration) is preferred.

Experience

: Proven experience in ticketing, airline affairs, or customer service in the travel industry. Familiarity with airline booking systems (e.g., Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo) and global distribution systems (GDS).

Skills

: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Ability to stay calm under pressure and deal with challenging situations. Knowledge of airline policies, including ticketing rules, refund policies, and fare structures.

Technical Skills

: Proficiency in Communication tools - Zoom, Teams, Slack, Productivity Tools - googledrive, MS Office, Amadeus, Sabre, GDS, Booking Platforms, BI tools such as google data etc Ability to learn and work with airline-specific reservation software and tools
