We are looking for a/an Tendering engineer to join our Services_EUA team in Qatar .
Purpose of the job: Preparation of tenders and provision of front-end sales support in respect of client enquiries in order to meet the objectives of the company's overall business plans and strategies.To take overall control of service tendering activities in line with the company's business plans and strategies for growth of the business.
Your main tasks and responsibilities: Receive enquiry from sales, operations, management, or customers as arising and acknowledge receipt of the enquiry. Review commercial terms & work scope, and liaise with all internal stakeholders to ensure bid submission deadlines are met. Coordinate with sales team to prepare technical and commercial proposals. Liaise with operations teams to determine repair and overhaul timescales, parts and repair requirements. Co-ordinate with vendors to obtain 3rd party materials and subcontract quotations. Produce costing sheet for review with operations, finance and sales teams. Prepare quotations for additional work identified during order execution. Overall responsibility to ensure that tenders meet company commercial guidelines and have the necessary sign off in accordance with the delegation of authority guidelines. Overall responsibility to ensure that Order Entry documentation is completed in accordance with handover guidelines and procedures and company KPIs. Ensure application of Sulzer tools and policies, procedures, codes of conduct and best practice guideline. Attend clarification meetings, pre-tender site visits with Client when required. Take responsibility for all associated handover documentation in the event of an order. Proactively engage and support company initiatives designed to promote a culture of safe working, environmental protection and continual improvement. Contribute towards preparation of weekly/monthly reports to communicate local business performance against targets. Contribute to the tender follow up process.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
Bachelor's in mechanical engineering; Relevant experience within Pump/Rotating Equipment industry; Good understanding of pump machinery, assembly and manufacturing processes; Experience of dealing with rotating equipment repair and overhaul tenders; Experience of contract negotiation in a commercial environment; General computer skills; SAP familiarity; Communication & negotiating skills; Ability to act independently; Flexibility and ability to adapt to change.
Visa and work permit support will be provided for this role.
