:Position Overview:We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Tendering Engineer to join our services team, focusing on services for secure power. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and managing tenders for various offers such as battery replacement, consulting, trainings, maintenance contracts, installation, commissioning & startup, product renewal (UPS and Cooling), Modernization, On-Demand Services, Spare Parts, DCLS and Warranty Extensions.This role will require a strong technical background & design along with excellent analytical and communication skills.Key Responsibilities:
Accept the Support Request received from sales.
Review the inquiry/tender documents received from sales team.
Discuss inquiries with salesperson to align and understand all the details related (Go to Market, Targeted Price, Competition, T&Cs, etc.).
Collaborate with internal teams to gather required information to come up with a suitable BOQ.
Collaborate with 3rd party entities to get offers required.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, sales, and project management, to gather necessary technical data and support documentation for proposals.
Collaborate with internal teams to gather all required date sheets, selection sheets, lead time details etc.
Prepare technical and commercial proposals for tender submissions.
Create QLK and QID.
Build costing sheet in alignment with DoA approvals.
Attach all the supporting documents (costing sheet, offer).
Adding the concerned SMEs and following up to seek their approval.
Submit QLK and follow up to get it approved by all approvers assigned.
Submit an offer with suitable payment terms, lead time, incoterms, scope of work, T&Cs.
Check customer accounts status.
Review the payment terms with credit control team.
Prepare and share an order acknowledgement document with Sales and follow up to be signed and stamped by customer.
Review T&C and PO with contract manger and support in preparation of deviation list.
Maintain records of tender submissions and follow up with clients on the status of proposals.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback on the tendering process and identifying opportunities for efficiencies.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
5 years of experience in tendering or bidding processes within the Data Center Infrastructure sector.
Strong understanding of data center components, including UPS systems, cooling technologies, and rack solutions.
Proficient in pricing models, estimation sheets, Oracle CPQ and cost analysis methodologies.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to diverse audiences.
Strong analytical and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), formulas in Excel and any relevant tender management tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
Professional certifications related to tendering, project management, or engineering.
Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to data center operations.
Experience with T&Cs, contract negotiation and risk assessment in a tendering context.
