We are seeking a skilled and experienced Tender and Estimation Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the contracting, MEP, and construction industries, with 3-5 years of relevant experience. A degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering is preferred, but candidates with substantial practical experience in tendering and estimation within the construction sector will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

- Tender Preparation: Prepare detailed and competitive tenders and bids for projects, ensuring all requirements and specifications are met.

- Cost Estimation: Accurately estimate the costs of materials, labor, and equipment needed for projects.

- Quantity Takeoff: Perform detailed quantity takeoffs from drawings and specifications to support cost estimates.

- Vendor Management: Obtain and review quotes from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing.

- Risk Analysis: Identify and assess potential risks associated with projects and incorporate risk mitigation strategies into estimates.

- Documentation: Maintain accurate and organized records of all tendering and estimation activities, including correspondence, quotes, and estimates.

- Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and ensure accurate estimates.

- Compliance: Ensure all tenders and estimates comply with local regulations, industry standards, and company policies.

- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and cost management techniques to improve the accuracy and competitiveness of estimates.

Qualifications:

- Experience: 3-5 years of tendering and estimation experience in the contracting, MEP, and construction industries within the UAE.

- Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering is preferred. Candidates with substantial relevant experience will also be considered.

- Skills:

- Proficiency in estimation software and tools

- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills

- Knowledge: Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to tendering and estimation in the construction sector.
