The Applied and Experiential Learning Department is inviting nominations and applications for the position of Cloud and DevOps Engineer - Intelligent Tutoring System (ITS). Reporting to the Academic Manager of Applied & Experiential Learning Department, the incumbent will be in charge of supporting development and deployment of an advanced Intelligent Tutoring System (ITS). This role involves managing cloud infrastructure, automating deployment processes, and ensuring the scalability and reliability of the ITS platform. Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will Design, deploy, and maintain cloud-based infrastructure to support the ITS, ensuring high availability and performance. The successful candidate will Develop and manage continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to streamline application development and deployment. The successful candidate needs to Implement monitoring tools to track system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize resource utilization. The ideal candidate Work closely with software developers, AI specialists, and educational technologists to integrate various components of the ITS and maintain comprehensive documentation of the cloud infrastructure, deployment processes, and system configurations.

Technical Competencies: Cloud Platforms: Proficiency in cloud services, particularly Microsoft Azure, for deploying and managing applications. Automation Tools: Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible. CI/CD Tools: Familiarity with GitHub actions, Azure Pipelines, or Jenkins, or similar platforms for managing deployment pipelines. Containerization: Strong Knowledge of Docker for creating and managing containerized applications. Orchestration Platforms: Strong Experience with Kubernetes for orchestrating containerized services. Scripting Languages: Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash for automation tasks. Monitoring Tools: Experience with monitoring and logging tools to ensure system health and performance. Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Azure DevOps Engineer Expert or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer. Experience: Minimum of 3 years in cloud engineering and DevOps roles, preferably with experience in building data-driven pipelines or deploying large language models. Prior experience working on educational platforms or intelligent tutoring systems. Languages: Fluency in written and spoken English language is required Fluency in written and spoken Arabic language is preferred
