Job Description

We are seeking a Telecommunications Engineer to join our team in Dubai, UAE. An ideal candidate will have 3 years of experience. Preferably working experience in Etisalat and are available in UAE.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of telecommunications technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure they perform their duties effectively.
• Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of telecommunication systems in Data Centers.
• Develop and implement procedures and best practices for the operation and maintenance of telecommunications systems to ensure reliability and optimal performance.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to identify and resolve problems promptly, minimizing downtime and ensuring uninterrupted communication services.
• Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to understand their telecommunications requirements and develop solutions that meet their needs.
• Conduct regular inventory of materials kept in store and keep updated tracker.
• Maintain documentation and records of telecommunications systems, including network diagrams, equipment inventory, and maintenance logs.

Required Skills:

• 1. Strong technical knowledge and experience in telecommunication systems, including Nokia SR12, SR12e, SR1s, SAS, VRR, Cisco ASR, NCS50, N540 and other switches.
• Familiarity with data center fiber/power cabling and maintenance.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve network issues effectively with VFL, OTDR, NW Analyzer.
• Strong leadership and managerial skills to lead and motivate a team of technicians, set clear goals, and provide guidance and support.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders, explain technical concepts to non-technical personnel, and coordinate with vendors.
• Project management skills to plan and execute telecommunication projects within defined timelines and budget constraints.
• Knowledge of network monitoring tools and systems to proactively identify issues and perform network performance analysis.
• Understanding of data privacy and network security principles to implement appropriate measures to protect sensitive information.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications, such as CCNA or CCNP, are highly desirable.
• Proven experience in managing and maintaining telecommunication systems, preferably in a supervisory or leadership role.
• In-depth knowledge of telecommunications infrastructure, networking protocols, and industry standards.
• Etisalat/DU Data Center experience preferred.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and record-keeping.
