Job Overview TE Connectivity's Machinist Team's responsibilities include, assignment planning, layout, set up, operating and making tool adjustments for various types of manual, numerically controlled and computerized machine shop equipment. They work from blueprints, process sheets and sketches to perform production tasks, which may include the cutting and shaping of metal to precision dimensions, communicating directly with engineers to understand the purpose of a part assembly. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.
Tasks Summary and Responsibilities
Provides responsive support to the molding department production line to ensure the safe manufacture of quality products to meet on time delivery schedule Identify root cause and implements corrective and preventive measures to improve or ensure product quality across product lines. Stays current (updated) on core competencies and best practices in manufacturing to ensure incorporation into new designs or processes. Ensures product documentation (Control parameter Sheet, 53P, SWI...) and manufacturing processes meet all TE Quality system requirements. Provides mentoring support to all molding shop floor personnel. Identifies and researches new processes and equipment to support cost reduction or quality improvement. Lead and train Molding Set up men team and provides all necessary Support for their daily Job. Works with Production to implement any necessary safety controls and safety actions. Follow machines installation and propose any retrofits needed. Perform mold Sampling According to TE Standard, (27P), (42P), (53P). Create and Modify Robot Programs with different types of hand Robots. Lead RUNRATE (Trial Run) Implementation with Action Follow up. Travel, including to foreign manufacturing locations, occasionally required.
What your background should look like:
Educational Degree -Bachelor's degree in plastic Materials or equivalent experience. Professional Experience (years in what processes and function) -Three years or mores of experience in plastic injection, semiconductor molding and silicone molding or related field. Special Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills -Horizontal injection molding and Liquid Injection Molding experience preferred -Hight knowledge of injection molding and effective problem-solving skills. Communications skills English/French (oral and written). computer skills (word processing, Excel, PPT). -Basic Knowledge in algorithmic Languages (C, C++) -Ability to work with exposure to factory environment (exposure to polymers, solder fumes, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and heat generating equipment). -Ability to Analyze and solve all Defects related to Plastic Injection Molding. -Advanced Skills in Molding Injection Machines (SSD, ARBURG, FANUC, ENGEL) -Advanced Skills in Handling Robots (SEPRO, ARBURG, ENGEL, WITTMANN) Other important things to note It insists on adherence to the following 4 TE values: INTEGRITY, INNOVATION, TEAMWORK, RESPONSIBILITY
