The Technician III GSE is responsible for performing moderately complex GSE maintenance and repair such as vehicles, generators, hydraulic nomadic hearing and air-conditioning and electrical systems, forklifts and ATVs in a timely manner and in accordance with applicable technical orders, standards, and regulations. Perform O, I and D Level when applicable. Also will be responsible for:

Adjusts, repairs, or replaces defective components based on analysis of test results, following blueprints, schematics, handbooks, and other technical documents, using hand tools. Calibrates installed or repaired equipment to prescribed specifications. Performs scheduled service and maintenance tasks to GSE and advises on problems maintaining, servicing, and inspecting GSE. Performs unscheduled troubleshooting and maintenance assigned to GSE and related equipment. Performs tasks with technician teams in conducting functional tests of repaired components and systems according to standards and procedures. Maintains maintenance forms, automated maintenance data systems, and historical reports as required to ensure complete documentation. Reports findings and issues to supervisors and proceeds with the adopted solution and ensures proper implementation in performing tasks. Removes, disassembles, repairs, cleans, treats for corrosion, assembles and reinstalls GSE accessories and components. Services equipment with fuel, oil, coolant, water and hydraulic fluid and air. Operates, cleans, inspects and services GSE towing vehicles and maintains vehicle forms. Checks equipment for clearances, tolerances, proper installation, and operation. Follows the day-to-day operations related to assigned duties to ensure continuity of work. Provides on-the-job training and coaching to technicians on basic tasks and procedures to support their development. Stimulates subordinates and contributes to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of section systems, processes and practices taking into account 'international best practice', improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement. Ensures compliance to all relevant safety, quality and environmental management procedures and controls to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude. Motivates one's own team and identifies opportunities to take part in change initiatives, programs and projects that reflect international best practice and changes in the competitive environment. Oversees improvements to departmental policies and directs the implementation of procedures and controls so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service to customers.
