Special NoteThis position will be on the rolls of Action Hospitality - a group company of Air Arabia group.Job PurposeThe purpose of this role is to perform and supervise maintenance, repair and installation of air conditioning, ventilation systems, and refrigeration systems work in residential & commercial buildings and to ensure work is in accordance with all standards of building codes and safety.Key Result Responsibilities- Performs any duties and responsibilities that are within the scope of employment, as assigned by the supervisor/Engineer In-Charge, coordinates with co-workers for the project.- Reviews assigned tasks with the Engineer-in-Charge to gain full understanding of the work, priorities, requirements and cautions, prior to starting work.- Prepares or works from blueprints, plans, drawings, diagrams and specifications in accordance with the building code or approved trade practices.- Performs scheduled maintenance ensuring that the required tools are obtained and used per issued instructions.- Assembles, installs, tests and maintains air conditioning systems and components (pumps, motors, air handlers, fan coils, piping, etc.) ensuring work is in accordance with all standards of building HVAC codes and safety.- Inspects the chiller, package, ducted split and others and diagnoses malfunctioning systems, units, etc., using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and fix the problem.- identifies hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair and to ensure safety and compliance with codes.- Develops preventative maintenance schedule and performs routine maintenance of commercial rooftop cooling equipment.- Maintains appropriate inventory of repair and warranted parts used (building exhaust fans, ventilation units/systems) and coordinates the return of tools used to a secure location.- Arranges for spares/materials from approved suppliers for repair & maintenance work- Regularly reports the status of assigned tasks to the Engineer-in-Charge and alerts him or her to any problems with the execution of the work.- Prepares log-book of activities carried as required.- Conducts customer training on the use and operation of air conditioning systems.- Demonstrates high level of consideration to housekeeping standards in all tasks performed.Note - The role defined here is not exhaustive and duties and responsibilities in line with the job function may be added from time to time.Qualifications (Academic, training, languages)1-2 years of relevant technical experience in the related field in any engineering/construction/maintenance company is a must.Work ExperienceExperience in fire alarms is preferred.Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and express updates accordingly.Ability to understand assignments and perform tasks according to priorities and logical order.Cooperative team player demonstrates ability to work in a multicultural environment.Willing to work on shift pattern (24/7) and long working hours.Multi-task oriented with high detail orientation.Reliable, self-motivated displays energy and enthusiasm.Demonstrates the ability to contribute and successfully deliver against set
