Finishing Technician (Steel Industry) Key Responsibilities: Perform mechanical maintenance, including preventive and corrective actions, to ensure plant and equipment efficiency. Troubleshoot mechanical issues and provide root cause analysis with action plans for resolution. Operate and maintain equipment, including pendant-operated cranes, with a focus on safety and efficiency. Prepare daily inspection reports and ensure timely reporting of issues and corrective actions. Collaborate with team members to prioritize maintenance projects and support production requirements. Promote Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards to achieve zero accidents. Optimize maintenance costs and minimize downtime. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to work independently. Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with team members and customers. Proficiency with hand tools, measuring tools, and portable equipment. Commitment to safe work practices and adherence to safety regulations. Knowledge of pendant-operated crane operations is preferred. Qualifications: Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering. 3-5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance within a steel plant. Key Performance Indicators: Zero-accident implementation of HSE standards. Maintenance cost optimization and downtime reduction. Accurate reporting of troubleshooting outcomes and action plans. Daily inspections and proactive identification of equipment issues.
