Responsibilities

Read and understand contract documents such as contract conditions, BOQ, specs, drawings and related reports. Design basic concept for shop drawings, shop drawings, setting out drawings, MTO, and fabrication drawings. Distribute work in team & follow up for drawing completion/submission. Ensure structural checks are completed for all necessary components before preparing shop drawings. Manage relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and subcontractors involved in the construction process. Prepare shop drawings for projects in accordance with architectural drawings, contracts and specifications, BS, EN, and ASTM standards, concept drawings, and a bill of quantities. Ensure that designs adhere to local building codes, regulations, and industry standards, including fire safety and accessibility requirements.
Review, check, and approve shop drawings prepared by the design team.

Ensure timely approval of drawings, calculations, and material samples as specified in the project schedule.

Collaborate with projects manager and contractors to ensure the seamless integration of facade design into the overall construction process.

Conduct seminars and training sessions for personnel on systems and other product requirements.

Participate in specified performance testing activities.

Review and approve the Material Take-Off (MTO) and Construction Log (CL).

Oversee the quality of facade installations and work with contractors to address any issues or discrepancies.

Identify additional work or variations in coordination with project directors, project managers, quantity surveyors, and design and engineering managers.

Ensure all departmental work is completed within the specified timeframes and in line with company standards.

Take corrective actions to resolve design, procurement, fabrication, or on-site issues.

Arranging and reviewing the required projects closeout deliverables.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or a related field.

Minimum of 5

years of experience in facade design, including both residential and

commercial projects.

Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and other relevant design tools. Logikal

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong project management and leadership skills.

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Knowledge of sustainable building practices and green facade technologies is a plus.

With a valid UAE driving license.
